Tuesday, October 11, 2016 The Time Jumpers was established in Nashville in 1998 by an assemblage of high-dollar studio musicians who wanted to spend time jamming with their sonically gifted buddies. A virtual who’s who of Music City talent has performed with the band, whose 2007 live album Jumpin’ Time earned two Grammy nominations. This is a performance at the UGA Performing Arts Center in partnership with The Classic Center Theatre.

Thursday, October 20, 2016 Third Thursday is a monthly evening of art in Athens, Georgia! It’s a great opportunity to see visual art at seven excellent and consistent art venues. It’s not an art walk because it does not occur in a single district of Athens; rather, it is an opportunity to get out and visit a handful of venues in one evening — because the art on view is always changing!

Come out and join us as we ride to the Nichols Campground on the beautiful Talullah River in Rabun County for fun, fellowship and a good meal! Breakfast (pancakes, bacon and drink) will be offered at 8:00am, by Beef 'O'Brady's in Jefferson for $6.00 then we will leave this location at 10:00 am., for a scenic ride to the destination at 682 Talullah River Rd. Clayton, Ga. Its a little over a 70 mile trip! All proceeds go to the Georgia Sheriffs' Youth Homes A great time for a great cause!

Start your morning off with a bike ride with State Street Bicycles owner, Lee Fox, then enjoy crafts, beer, music and BBQ in Downtown Commerce on Cherry Street. BBQ'ers will compete for prizes and trophies and get a chance to win the People's choice. So come out and have some fun in Downtown Commerce!

Monday, October 24, 2016 Inspired by the blurred lines between classical, pop, and contemporary music, renowned violinist Robert McDuffie commissioned a new composition from R.E.M.’s Mike Mills, one of the most prolific songwriter/composers from the world of rock and pop. Mills and McDuffie have been close friends since they were teenagers growing up in Macon, GA, and now these two music legends have embarked on an exciting collaboration with the premiere of Mills’s Concerto for Violin, Rock Band, and String Orchestra featuring Fifth House Ensemble. This is a not-to-be-missed Athens concert event. This is a performance at the UGA Performing Arts Center in partnership with The Classic Center Theatre.
